American soldiers destroyed a Porsche 64 in May 1945 after they used it for joyriding. It was the first Porsche sports car, only 3 were built.

The last remaining 64 was to be auctioned in August 2019, at an estimated value of $20 million. NOTE —American troops discovered the one put in storage, cut the roof off and used it for joyriding for a few weeks until the engine gave up and it was scrapped.
