TOOK PART IN SECOND AFGHAN WAR AND GRANTED THE BATTLE HONOUR AFGHANISTAN 1880-
ONLY ONE PATHAN SQUADRON SAW ACTION IN FIRST WORLD WAR IN EAST AFRICA BETWEEN FEBRUARY 1915 AND DECEMBER 1916—HOWEVER SENT REINFORCEMENTS TO 15 LANCERS AND 19 LANCERS- SAW ACTION IN THIRD AFGHAN WAR WHICH WAS A MICKEY MOUSE WAR  AND IN WAZIRISTAN OPERATIONS IN 1919-20- MERGED WITH 37 CAVALRY IN 1921-22 TO FORM 15 LANCERS WHICH WAS LATER CONVERTED INTO A TRAINING CENTRE AND CEASED TO EXIST
