Major General Tej Pathak GOC of 10 Infantry division , 1971 , Lt. General Inderjeet Singh Gill

DR HAMID HUSSAIN IS A VERY DEAR FRIEND AND BENEFACTOR.

HE HAS HELPED ME IN VERY DIFFICULT TIMES.

A PERFECT HUMAN BEING AND AN INTELLECTUAL .

TOUCH WOOD - MASHALLAH - OR AS THEY SAY CHASHM E BAD DOOR

RECENTLY HE INFORMED ME AS BELOW AND I WAS DEEPLY INSPIRED.

SITUATION IS THAT PAKISTANI OFFICERS ARE LEAVING NO OPPORTUNITY TO LET DOWN EACH OTHER.

LEG PULLING AND BACK STABBING IS PAKISTANS IDEOLOGY .

IF YOU VISIT PAKISTAN YOU WILL FIND NO ISLAM AND ONLY HYPOCRISY .

HOW THIS HAPPENED AND WHY IS A COMPLICATED STORY.

IN 2013 I WROTE A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF DI KHAN JAIL ATTACK AND POINTED IRRESOLUTION OF THE LOCAL MILITARY COMMANDERS.

INSTEAD OF APPRECIATING MY ANALYSIS MY REGIMENT 11 CAVALRYS COMMANDING OFFICER WAS THREATENED AND WARNED NOT TO INVITE ME TO THE REGIMENT BY PEOPLE WHO WERE SITTING DUCKS DURING DI KHAN JAIL BREAK

WHEN I RECEIVED THIS NEWS IN OCTOBER 2013 I WAS DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED.

IN MARCH 2015 A VERY SENIOR US DECISION MAKER INFORMED ME THAT SOME ONE FROM PAKISTANI  SET UP  HAD ASKED A DC LOBBYIST TO ENGAGE SOME AMERICAN TO WRITE HOSTILE BOOK REVIEWS ON MY BOOKS.

THIS WAS VERY FUNNY AS I AM WRITING BOOKS NOT FOR ANY FINANCIAL GAIN AND MY BOOKS HARDLY BRING ME ANY INCOME.

BUT WHEN I READ THE MAIL TODAY I WAS DEEPLY INSPIRED THAT THERE WAS SOMEONE INTERESTED IN MY HUMBLE ANALYSIS.

Major ® Agha H. Amin kindly agreed to give his opinion about the subject you are writing about.  .  You can contact him and good luck with your project. As I mentioned in our phone conversation, Major Amin is an authority on Pakistan army as well as military history.  Frankly, I have not come across any other officer of Indian or Pakistani armies with such breadth of knowledge.  He is an eccentric and while this trait was allowed in British Indian army during the Raj but Pakistani and Indian armies don’t allow such officers to remain in their ranks. His works stimulated many healthy debates and exchanges in both armies.

Just few days ago, I found out that Major Amin’s work on Indo-Pak wars stimulated debate among some senior Indian officers, letters were exchanged and many additional details emerged from this exercise.  Major General Tej Pathak who when GOC of 10 Infantry division was trying to collect information about div’s history in 1971 war and discussed Amin’s work with retired Lt. General Inderjeet Singh Gill who was officiating DMO during 1971 war.
